HAMPTON SOCIAL
Step aside, summer trip to Montauk - Hampton Social Delray has entered the chat.
Inspired by the feeling of a long summer afternoon, the Hampton Social group has expanded their concept to the ultimate ‘endless summer’ destination. Neighbor to the new Le Colonial, Hampton Social is located in the brand new Atlantic Plaza, just steps from our Morley Delray location.
The restaurant-bar offers a curated “coastal-inspired” menu, drawing influence from the chic summer food-and-drink ‘shacks’ that line the coast of The Hamptons. There are specialty seafood dishes, light bites, hand-crafted cocktails, and - our favorite - an extensive selection of rosé. They even have a neon sign that reads “Rosé All Day,” which is the trendiest thing to happen to Delray since the espresso martini.
We recommend the Ahi Tuna Dip, Grilled Octopus, and, of course, the Hampton Frosé.
We’re wearing the Cecco Top by Oscar The Collection paired with the Laure Trouser, Temple St. Clair 18k Cosmo Hoops, the Nia Crochet Bag by Cleobella, and the Margi Heels by L'oeffler Randall.
LE COLONIAL
The city of Delray has been blessed - one of the finest restaurant concepts in the country has graced us with a beautiful location in the heart of downtown.
Founded in 1993, Le Colonial boasts a unique French-Vietnamese-inspired menu. Some critics even credit the concept’s founder, Rick Wahlstedt, with sparking the Asian fusion-craze that has swept restaurants across the nation.
“We’re in the business of making memories,” says Rick, who has created what he describes as a “romantic and immaculate vibe” at Le Colonial Delray. We can’t help but agree.
Many restaurants have taken a more casual approach since the start of the pandemic, making Le Colonial’s commitment to quality ingredients, premiere service and presentation even more remarkable. With hand-made wicker furniture sets, ornate floral murals, rich mahogany finishing and live plants in every corner of the space, the aesthetics of Le Colonial are nothing short of exquisite.
We recommend the Vietnamese Chicken & Cabbage Salat, La Vong Halibut, and the Key Lime Entremet.
We’re wearing the Daphys Dress by TAJ, paired with the Imanta Floral Clutch by BTB Los Angeles, and the Drift Earrings by Lizzie Fortunato.
THE OG DELRAY
The OG is a staple “off the ave” bar in Delray. Originally opened in 2018, the bar shut its doors in 2020 to undergo an 18-month “renovation”, though transformation might be the better word to describe what has happened since remodeling.
Besides the physical expansion to include a huge outdoor patio and garden (and there’s finally a dance floor!), the very concept surrounding the OG’s operations has shifted from dive to cocktail bar. They even partnered with Taquiza, one of Miami’s renowned taco stands, to bring a permanent food option to the table.
Despite its motto of “More Thrill. Less Chill”, The OG is one of the best places in all of downtown to kick back and chill. As its name suggests, the OG is a haven for all things counterculture, making it a reprieve from Delray’s now ultra-saturated ‘beach-chic’ offerings. With events like Mystic Mondays (sound healing and silent disco), Art Collective (local creative vendor market) and good ole Happy Hour (5-7pm daily), there’s no shortage of good vibes at the OG.
Oh, and did we mention that the bar is dog-friendly? As if $4 High Noons and spicy cocktails aren’t reason enough to dip out of work early to hit Happy Hour.
We recommend the chips and guac (it’s far from standard, trust us), Al Pastor taco, and the Paloma, spicy.
We’re wearing the AGOLDE Elna Bodysuit, AGOLDE's 90s Pinch Waist, ALC's Paloma Bag, with Ven Palma's amazing Anna Hat.
